Blue Giraffe Nursery had its opening Ofsted inspection in 2008, which we are pleased to say passed last year with flying colours.Within the first six months, Ofsted also like to inspect the nursery and report on how it is operating. This surprise inspection was conducted in February 2009 and we are very pleased to announce it went very smoothly indeed. The nursery has since received an inspection to qualify for NEG funding - which is now available to all those children over the age of 3 years.
Our report is now available for inspection from the ofsted.gov.uk website and is also kept for parental viewing in the Manager’s office. We have, as with any new nursery, been given some areas to develop, and work has been carried out on these areas already. Improvements include 18 new outdoor learning boards, sensory activities and new natural resources such as log stepping stones and a variety of planting equipment for the preschool terrace and toddler/baby playground. Overall, we passed WITHOUT any major concerns or inadequate findings being applied to the premises and current procedures.
